Human rights
Recently in social studies we have been learning about the human rights. I worked with Divontae to make a poster. Here is the finished poster
Gloriavale
1. What are the traditional roles of men, women and children in the community? The men are more expected to do jobs like building, women are expected to clean and look after children, children are expected to do small jobs like cleaning.
2. At what age are members of Gloriavale expected to begin working? Children are expected to start working as soon as they can walk.
3. What role does religion play in the lives of Gloriavale members? Religion is the biggest thing in their lives in Gloriavale.
4. Do you think people living in Gloriavale are happy? Why or why not? I think they are happy because their life is the only one they know so they think that it is good.
5. Do you think the people in Gloriavale expeirience Human Rights? Most human rights probably but they don't experience all because they have to work from such a young age.
6. Would you be happy to live in a community like Gloriavale. Why or why not? Probably not because that is a big change from my current life and I don't think I would like it better.

Wananga numeracy
This week for wananga we were learning numeracy.
We first practised by using a website named prototec where we had to time how fast we could do certain math questions.
The Walt was 'Use long multiplication to work out 2-3 digit multiplication'
We then practised using long multiplication and that is all of the work we have done this week.
